The Cover Design for After Midnight

"Love is the Most Dangerous Game of All"

A Rakehell Rogue

In a world plagued by Revolution and Intrigue, love is the most dangerous game of all. When Lucien Warrick’s mission to rescue a French ambassador’s family from the Revolution goes awry, he has no way of knowing that he’ll meet his lethally lovely charge again in London. A legendary shadow with godlike reputation in international intrigue, the Night Wolf is about to meet his match.

A Defiant Damsel

As the sole support for her remaining family, Jacqueline Gervais has no time to play damsel in distress. Instead, she turns her unusual talents towards rescuing the Calvary and British artillery by spying for the Crown. A woman as skilled in deception as she is in sabotage, The Golden Hind is a creature of fatal allure and a thousand faces.

A Love That Will not be Ignored

A war between two nations pales in comparison to their clash of wills and passion, but when a sinister web of betrayal and deceit forces them to become mortal enemies, will the cost be their lives, or their hearts? The fate of two empires hangs in the balance, and anything is possible…After Midnight.

After Midnight is my debut novel,  a fascinating full-length historical romance set during the Napoleonic Wars & early Regency where two unforgettable characters discover that the path to true love goes hand in hand with intrigue, adventure, and a mission that can make or break an empire. I loved writing Luc & Jacqueline’s story, and I hope that you will welcome them into your hearts as well.  For anyone interested in adding their thrilling journey to their eBook collection, please click on a link below:

Reviews for After Midnight

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best climaxes I’ve ever read,September 13, 2011

I haven’t had so much fun reading a Historical Romance since I read Kathleen Windsor’s ‘Forever Amber’ more than forty years ago. Eryn Lockhart has the exact same ability to keep the reader glued to the narrative with her complex and fascinating plot, her beguiling characters, the situations they find themselves involved in and the superb pacing that forced me to carry on reading while my eyelids were determined to close. Tension, conflict, danger, romance and sex framed by excellent period settings added to this unforgettable reading experience. In addition, I can say in all honesty that I have never, ever read a historical novel with such an incredible climax right at the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Intrigue with Romantic Twists – Escape Reality and Enjoy!,September 11, 2011

Wow! What an amazing book of intrigue and romance that I didn’t want to even take a break from. Historical facts are weaved into the plot with adorable characters that are so endearing you wish you were there. A totally transforming book to sweep you off your feet as it aspires to send you into a comfortable realm away from our ram-shackled world. Read it for a relaxing and often hilarious escape from reality. I did, and I enjoyed it immensely. I don’t normally re-read books, but this one was so fun-I’m definitely making an exception. Rarely can I find a book that has so many unique scenes that raptly hold my attention again and again. Eryn Lockhart has indeed written a stellar story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Author I Have Ever Read!,September 3, 2011

I own over a thousand romance books, and this is by far the best book I have ever read!!!!!

I love reading, and am always on the look out for new, interesting books. My favorite genre is by far romance, but it gets hard to find new authors that have anything other than sex to write about with a few story elements thrown in. Eryn Lockhart does not follow this trend, instead she had written a romance book that I will always remember and be forever thankful for finding.

I was astonished at the level of story she was able to write for being a new author, and since I compare everything thing I read to authors I love such as Nora Roberts, Jayne Ann Krentz, Christine Skye (her Draycott Abbey Series), and Elizabeth Lowell its hard to impress me. But Eryn Lockhart has succeeded in knocking the best selling authors off the pedestal. Her book has it all: great characters, great plot, believable interactions, humor, romance with the dash of danger and intrigue.

I cannot praise the book enough and encourage anyone who has a love of historical romance, or who might be intrigued to buy this book, you won’t be disappointed.
